Cajeput oil is extracted by steam distillation from the fresh leaves and twigs of the evergreen cajeput tree and the paperbark tree that is the native of Australia and Indonesia The tree is similar to the eucalyptus tree as both have a white bark and also the medicinal smell of camphor and eucalyptus . It grows abundantly in Southeast Asia. The common names are cajeput oil weeping tea tree and weeping paper bark. It can be used as a substitute to eucalyptus oil.The oil is thin and colorless with slight shades of yellow or green.
