Refined sunflower oil is a non-volatile oil extracted from sunflower seeds. This oil is a mixture of polyunsaturated fats, monounsaturated fats, oleic acid and linoleic acid. Refined sunflower oil can be used in food processing and cosmetics industries. It is mainly composed of unstable fatty acids, which are easily degraded by high temperature and accelerate oxidation. This is why it should be stored in a bottle made of dark glass or plastic treated with a UV protectant.
